Everything You Need to Know About YouTube Movies and Shows
For less than S$5, you can rent full movies from YouTube Movies. The shows include Fast & Furious 9, Free Guy and even Black Widow.
What if you hate “borrowing” stuff even if it is a digital item? For S$15 to S$21++, you are about to purchase the movies and rewatch it every night.
Aside from the renting and buying options, there are various options for you to choose the quality you want.
Take for example if you want to see Scarlett Johansson’s pores, go for 4K or UHD. If that is not an option, you can go for HD. If seeing her rough figure is enough for you, go for SD.
Of course, the higher the quality, the higher the price. However, since these are merely digital copies, the prices are only an extra S$1 to S$2 difference.
Do note that YouTube Movies is not available on all devices or countries.
YouTube Movies and Shows Rental Period is Usually 48 Hours
The rental for each movie will only last for 24 to 48 hours. Most rentals last for 48 hours but every movie is different so do take note of the length of your rental period during your checkout.
You also have the option to keep the movie for over 30 days without opening it. Once you started watching the movie, you’ll have around two days before it is no longer yours.
The good news is there is no limit to how many times you put the movie on repeat. As long as it is within the rental period, you can leave the movie on loop until your rental period ends.
Refund for YouTube Movies and Shows
As with most retail items, refunds are possible for YouTube Movies. If you meet with an issue with the movie, you are able to get a refund by clicking the “Request Refund” button on your purchases page.
There, you have to indicate the problem that you’ve encountered and click on the option that you want a refund.
Sometimes, the money is refunded quickly, but in most cases, YouTube may need further verification to enable troubleshooting before they throw in the towel and ask you to take your money back.
