If you hate us for this, we totally understand.

We hate ourselves too, mainly because all these articles about “You’ve Been Doing This Wrong All your Life” and other life-hacks make us wonder why we haven’t realize it earlier and we feel like an idiot.

But like they say, feeling like an idiot is the first step to identifying that we are idiots and also the crucial step to self improvement.

Today we’ll tell you why you’ve been using post-it the wrong way.

If you use post-it frequently, you’ll realize that pulling the post-it out usually leaves the sticky part curly and when it eventually gets pasted somewhere it’ll end up protruding out like a dying fish’s fins. Very ugly and easily ripped out again.

The problem, as it turns out, lies not in the design of the post-it, but in the fact that we are stupid.

The manufacturers probably think that it is too obvious to even warrant a need for a manual to teach us about it. But there is in fact a correct way to tear the post-it. Most of us peel sticky notes from the bottom up, which results in the sticky part curling up. To avoid the curling, the correct way to peel a post-it is from the side like this:

No more curly post-its! Wait, you’ve been doing this all along? Great, you win this time. But don’t be happy so soon, we’ll post another article tomorrow that’ll make you really feel like an idiot.

As for those who didn’t know, don’t worry, we didn’t either. We can be idiots together along the road of self improvement.
