Apple products are known for its stylish and clean aesthetics, and these trademark features have been extended to its new office in Cupertino, California.

Called the Apple Park, this futuristic office houses 13,000 employees and it is surrounded by 50ft curved glass panels.

Glass panels can be spotted in the workspace as well coz’ you know, open culture.

The open concept in offices is pretty rad, promoting work productivity and a sense of transparency.

But, Apple employees are facing a problem with the open concept.

One would imagine that the employees of Apple would be made up of bright stars but…

People are literally banging into glass walls

According to Bloomberg, the staff are often “glued” to the iPhones and as a result, they have been walking into the aforementioned glass walls.

Ouch.

It is not sure how many people were injured but according to the Independent, at least 7 people were injured on the first day when they moved into the pristine office.

The solution

Apple can troubleshoot any problem by coming up with a new iOS.

So the creators of the iPhones and MacBooks came up with a genius way to curb the problem.

The staff started posting Post-It notes on the glass panels to make them more visible, but it was soon removed coz’ it didn’t fit the building’s design.

I guess even Apple staff have a problem keeping off their phones.

It is worth mentioning that under California health and safety law, employers are required to protect their workforce “against the hazard of walking through glass” by installing barriers or conspicuous markings.

However, no incidents have been with the registered with the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
