As of Friday, 12 noon, the Ministry of Health reports 219 new Covid-19 cases in Singapore.

This number includes 6 cases in the community: five of them Singaporeans/PRs and one work pass holder.

Migrant workers residing at dormitories make up a vast majority of the new cases.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases in Singapore up to 42,995.

More Places Added To List Of Places Visited By Infectious Covid-19 Cases

On 25 Jun, MOH also added many places to the list of places visited by infectious Covid-19 cases.

Some of the new places include popular malls:

  • Vivocity (21 Jun / 8.14 to 9.15pm)
  • Queensway Shopping Centre (21 Jun / 4.45 to 6.15pm)
  • Kallang Wave Mall (22 Jun / 6.35 to 7.35pm)
  • Bugis Junction (23 Jun / 1.10 to 2.30pm)

In total, there are 12 new places and you can view the full list below:

This pretty much serves as a huge reminder to us that while Phase Two has started and bubble tea stores are open again, Covid-19 is here to stay.

Again, you don’t have to avoid these places but if you’ve been there at around the same time, you must monitor your own health carefully for the next fourteen days.

Go see a doctor immediately if even the mildest symptoms show.

We’re Still In Dorscon Orange

In case you’ve missed the memo, Singapore is still in DORSCON Orange.

Yes, the DORSCON level that drove us all momentarily crazy.

The multi-ministry task force explains that Phase Two and DORSCON levels are completely different.

One shows the stage of economic reopening (Phases) while the other indicates the seriousness of the disease.

Given that in Dorscon Orange, the disease (which in this case, is Covid-19) is spreading within Singapore but kept under control while in Yellow, the disease is spreading outside of Singapore or is so mild it’s slightly worse than influenza, you’ll get why they’re keeping the Dorscon level up.

This also serves as a reminder to Singaporeans that we should not let down our guards yet.

After all, you got to remember, the Phases are not one-way tickets; they are return tickets.

Should numbers explode all of a sudden, we might just find ourselves travelling back to Phase One or CB. Or whatever they’re called, really.
