Man Who Verbally Abused Security Guard At Condo Files Police Report Claiming He Was Doxxed

A police report has been filed on the alleged doxxing of a man who was caught on camera verbally abusing a security guard at his condominium during the Deepavali weekend.

The video, which was uploaded online last Friday, shows the man cursing at a security officer after being told by the officer that he needs to pay parking fees for guests visiting the condo.

Since then, personal details such as the man’s condo unit, mobile phone number, alleged pay, and education history have been published online.

Netizens have even asked his employer, global financial services company JP Morgan, to sack him.

HDB To Install 6,000 Digital Display Screens In Lifts & Lobbies in 2020

As part of Singapore’s Smart Nation drive, the Housing and Development Board (HDB) will start installing Digital Display Panels in housing estates starting next year.

Around 6,000 panels will be installed across public housing estates, HDB said in a press conference on Wednesday (Oct 30).

These panels will feature news and information from government agencies, community organisations, and advertisers (???).

Increased Financial Support For Low-Income Families With Singaporean Children At PCF Sparkletots Pre-Schools

$2 million will be pumped into the PAP Community Foundation (PCF) Headstart Fund annually over the next three years to strengthen financial support for low-income families with Singaporean children at PCF Sparkletots.

PCF said the increase in funding will benefit 10,000 low-income families each year.

The eligibility criteria for the fund will also be expanded from January 2020, covering families with younger children, from Infant Care to Nursery 1.

In addition, families with children who have been diagnosed with special needs will receive double the financial support in the new scheme.

Young Man Accused Of Taking Upskirt Videos At MRT Stations & Schools

A 22-year-old man appeared in court on Wednesday (Oct 30) to face 43 counts of taking upskirt videos of women.

The man, Marcus Phua Xie Yi, had previously been charged with multiple counts of intruding on a woman’s privacy to insult her modesty by taking upskirt videos.

These offences occurred at MRT stations and tertiary education institutions such as the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, as well as at an overhead bridge opposite the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).

The man will return to court on 20 Nov.

NUS Student Allegedly Exposed Himself In Front Of Woman In University’s Science Library

A National University of Singapore (NUS) student is accused of exposing his private parts and sexually stimulating himself in front of a woman at the university’s science library.

The man, Xiong Jiawei, 27, was charged in court with one count of insulting the woman’s modesty.

The pre-trial conference for his case will take place on 5 Nov.
