At Goody Feed, we have a soft spot for each and everyone of our childhood crushes: Jesseca Liu, Jeanette Aw, Spongebob and Ann Kok.
But there’s one more we have yet to mention.
Constance Song.
This hottie was in our books for a myriad of reasons, and in light of her recent childbirth, we felt compelled to introduce her to you Constance-deprived souls out there.
So what should you know about her?
Well for starters, did you know that…
She’s actually in her 40s?
I can just imagine that look of disbelief imprinted on your face. I know; me too. I was like, “Are you kidding me? She looks younger than my 18-year-old sister!”
But the truth’s the truth: Constance Song turns 42 this year, even though she looks 24.
If we raid her home, we would probably find tons of youth elixirs lying around the floor.
She gave birth on 18 May
This might come as a shock to many of you people, and even a heartbreak for some, because Constance here actually gave birth to a baby girl on 18 May just this year!
It was admittedly unexpected. Very unexpected.
Nobody saw this coming at all, which speaks volumes about the next point.
She’s real fierce about her personal life
While celebrities normally have their private lives dissected like a live lizard, Constance has somehow escaped the tragic fate that enveloped so many of her peers.
Nothing is really known about the star, except the fact that she’s 42, hot, an actress, hot and 42.
When Straits Times asked her about her daughter’s name and her other half, she declined to comply.
“About personal matters, I don’t want to say much,” she said. “I’m very thankful to the Tanglin crew who accommodate my filming times, they are great.”
In fact, she had also wanted to keep her daughter’s birth a secret, but ultimately went public about it because rumours had spread like wildfire.
It’s alright, Constance. We are willing to let it go, but just answer this.
Are you attached, or single right now?
By the way, if you’re curious, I’m just asking for all the Singaporean guys out there.
And my friend.
Her baby shares her birthday
Now, isn’t that lovely? Constance Song reportedly shares the same birthday as her daughter!
“She is my best birthday present,” the Singaporean actress told Shin Min. “I never thought she would be born on that day.”
But we couldn’t help but wonder. Constance might not look a day past 30, but her biological age IS 42. Wouldn’t childbirth have been hard on her?
Surprisingly,she actually laughed it off.
“I had a ‘honeymoon pregnancy’, and didn’t have morning sickness, cravings or appetite changes,” she said.
Well, Constance, you just created an all new reason for women everywhere to hate you. 😉
She’s signed to Li Nan Xing’s talent agency
Lee Nan Xing actually has a talent agency named LNX Global, and Constance is a contracted artiste under him.
For your info, Lee Nan Xing is 52 years old.
52
The charismatic Singaporean actor had requested for Constance to join because of her bilingual and acting abilities, and she had obliged, signing on in 2015.
They have since achieved a number of lucrative deals, including a six-figure endorsement deal with Mary Chia in 2015.
Anyways, because Constance kept such a low profile in regards to her personal life, we would have to delve into older times to uncover some of her more intimate details.
Trust me, you will like it.
The next point, at least.
She used to be even prettier
While it might sound like a redundant question, because even Donald Trump looks like a stud back in the days, Constance was a real dandelion in the past.
Even more of a dandelion than she is now, I must emphasize.
Mamma mia!
And here we see a really famous, good-looking celebrity, and a handsome tuxedo dude with facial hair that’s on point.
Lucky dude. If I didn’t know better I would have thought that he was a legendary footballer playing for Manchester United. I’m not sure; he just has that face.
(And if you’re still doubting my earlier words, here’s an old picture of Trump)
Well, that escalated quickly.
She used to be a model
Blessed with good looks and a good figure, one would have expected her to grace the modelling stage at some point in her life.
And we are not disappointed; she actually worked as a model before!
Unfortunately we couldn’t unearth any modelling photos of her, but guess you won’t need to imagine much.
Her road to stardom
In 1997, Constance joined Star Search Singapore, and ended up as one of the finalists.
She was subsequently offered a contract by TCS (the predecessor of MediaCorp), and made her television debut in the wuxia series The Return of the Condor Heroes. Yeah, the drama that created celebrity power couple Christopher Lee and Fann Wong.
The rest, after that, was history.
She went on to serve the industry for close to 20 years and counting. But it wasn’t until Star Awards 2010 that she was really recognized for her efforts. She was named the Best Supporting Actress for her role as the evil Jiang Ruolin in The Ultimatum.
She’s currently filming for popular local English television series Tanglin.
Looking spunky there, Constance!
Anyways, the folks here at Goody Feed are really happy for you, and we hope that you will continue to shine on the small/big screen and bring smiles to faces everywhere!
Constance Song, fighting!
