We’ve seen the Internet reel from celebrity look-alike’s such as English singer and songwriter Harry Styles with TikTok user, Nancy Mitchell.
Heck, even the Celebrity Twin filter confirms it.
American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo herself even got confused by her look-alike when she went viral on TikTok.
So no surprise that we have a Singaporean celebrity version … but with the most unlikely candidate in mind.
Teen Promotes Himself as Lawrence Wong Look-Alike
Meet Singaporean TikTok user, Cyrus.
According to TODAYOnline, the teenager touted himself as a striking resemblance to our newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister, Lawrence Wong.
To prove this theory, Cyrus has been using what TikTok users know as the Face Morphing effect on himself.

The effect essentially allows users to take videos of themselves gradually transforming into a selected superimposed image.
This happens by combining their facial features seamlessly as the video progresses, allowing users of the effect to judge if they do resemble the superimposed image at the end.
Positive Response from Singaporeans Online
Cyrus has since gone viral, with many contributing to his efforts to get noticed by the Deputy Prime Minister himself.
This includes constant tagging of the minister’s official TikTok account in the video comments on Cyrus’s page.
Several cheekily remarked, “your son ah?” as they tagged the minister.
Others have asked if the teen look-alike could do something about the rising GST and petrol prices.
Some suggested Cyrus to take his resemblance a step further by playing the guitar and singing to see if they still look the same then.
Cyrus has continued to upload videos in hopes of getting noticed by senpai Wong. This includes emulating Wong’s gestures and posture in notable public appearances.
Received Indirect Response
But Cyrus incessant efforts to get noticed by Minister Wong for his antics might just have paid off.
On 17 June (Friday), the Deputy Prime Minister produced a video by his social media team showing his own Face Morph video.
The video used a photo of Wong himself when he was in Secondary 4 from a school yearbook.
Slowly as the Face Morph effect progresses, the video eventually ends on a picture of Wong in the current day.
Still, there’s no direct interaction between Wong and his teen GenZ look-alike on TikTok.
(But weird to note that more people are thirsting over Wong in the comments instead.)
