In a blink of an eye, the first quarter of the new year has already passed. April is the month that ushers in rebirth and regrowth by Mother Nature as spring arrives …
So it seems rather apt that Hong Kong singer and actor Andy Hui has made his re-appearance to the public eye on Instagram this month through singing.
Hid From the Public Eye After Cheating Scandal
The 54-year-old artist has been coming in and out of hiding ever since the cheating scandal between him and 33-year-old Hong Kong actress Jacqueline Wong broke out.
Hui was still married to 49-year-old singer Sammi Cheng when he was caught on camera sharing a kiss with Wong at the back of a taxi after the pair began to hold hands.
What spawned after was a flurry of angry reactions from netizens as many called for Hui to quit the entertainment industry altogether for his actions.

Meanwhile, Wong ended up finding refuge in the US for a short while her career seemingly came to a standstill as she was cut out of the popular Hong Kong drama Forensic Heroes IV. Wong’s two-year relationship with fellow actor Kenneth Ma also ended when the scandal broke out.
But still, even though everyone felt like it was too late to apologise, Hui did anyway and has been trying his best to make amends to his wife since.
Sibei drama indeed.
On the other hand, Wong has since unfollowed both Hui and Cheng’s accounts on Instagram in April 2021.
Attempt at New Beginnings with New Label Signing
This year in March, it was announced that Hui had joined Universal Music after leaving Sun Entertainment Culture.
And now we see him making a rare public appearance through his Instagram page when he posted on Wednesday (6 April) of himself singing his own rendition of the song “The Joker and The Queen”—a song by Ed Sheeran featuring Taylor Swift.

Comments have been supportive and positive so far on Hui’s video as his followers applaud Hui for his great singing. Hong Kong actor and musician Louis Cheng also voiced his support by saying the singing in Hui’s video was “super nice”.
One can also hope that things continue to remain “super nice” too since the dust has finally settled for those who have been hurt by the scandal.
