Banana Sundae & McFlurry Are Back in McDonald’s Dessert Kiosks

For as long as I can remember, my life has constantly revolved around bananas.

Bananas In Pyjamas.

McDonald’s banana pies.

My Aunt Matilda’s large banana.

So many bananas… all around me.

And though some of them were admittedly less glorious than expected, others compensated for the shortfall with their brilliance. My Aunt Matilda’s banana, for instance, tasted better than expected. Way better.

Weird, considering how she has been growing it in her closet for quite a long while now.

Well, I guess self-bred bananas just taste that good.

But still, I wasn’t satisfied. There was just something about bananas that intrigued me. Something… creamy and thick.

For ages, I searched. Hunted high and low. Looked desperately for an answer. But I never did.

Until now.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen. Lest you’re wondering…

I’m referring to McDonald’s newest Banana Sundae & McFlurry.

Real bananas; creamy and thick flavour…

All-around goodness to behold.

Banana Sundae & McFlurry Are Back in McDonald’s Dessert Kiosks

Yesterday (4 July 2020), fast food giant McDonald’s dropped their newest offering on social media site Facebook:

The long-awaited cousins of their banana pie, the Banana Sundae and McFlurry, will be coming to Singapore!

Woots!

Now, if you’ve tasted their banana pie before, you would know that McDonald’s treats their banana products very seriously.

I mean, the banana pie’s so freaking delicious, even Aunt Matilda approves of it.

And though we would later have the Choco Banana Pie, my heart still goes out to the original because of its indescribable dedication to the wholesome fruit.

Such taste, such allegiance. 

Truly, it’s a great service done by McDonald’s.

And so, it’s logical to develop high expectations for McDonald’s latest fare. After all, they’ve done the fruit proud with their pie rendition;

Surely their full-fledged ice-cream versions will taste as good, if not better!

Colour Your Day

According to McDonald’s, the Banana Sundae and McFlurry are available now at dessert kiosks.

They will also, apparently, be able to “colour your day”.

“Banana Sundae and McFlurry are back to colour your day!” the caption wrote. “So swing along with your favourite banana treats! Available now at Dessert Kiosks.”

Netizens are evidently stoked too. The post has garnered over 300 likes & reactions, as well as over 140 shares.

Some have also indicated their enthusiasm in the comments section, with several banana-related GIFs sprawled across the page.

Requests for the original banana pie, however, are also present. If this is not testament to the prowess of the original, I’ve no idea what is.
