You must’ve seen the cat meme before.
If you haven’t, you’re missing out.
Maybe this will ring a bell:
No? What about this:
The meme started in 2018 when a user, deadbefordeath, on Tumblr posted a picture of their cat , Smudge, at a dinner table with a plate filled with vegetables.
He titled the post as, “he no like vegetables” and it gained over 50,300 likes and reblogs over the next year.
In 2019, an Instagram page for the cat was created.
Slowly, people started using the cat the make other memes such as replacing the drake meme with the cat image.
Or even using it for the Spiderman meme.
But the most popular meme that emerged from this cat was, of course, this:
The “Woman Yelling at Cat” meme.
Woman Yelling at a Cat features a screenshot of a scene from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast members Taylor Armstrong and Kyle Richards followed by a picture of a confused-looking cat sitting behind a dinner plate.
The meme started gaining popularity across the web in mid-June 2019 and the cat was later identified as Smudge the Cat.

The Instagram page of Smudge has over 1.6 million followers to date.
And 99 per cent of their posts are just of the cat itself.
You post how many times already, still got how many followers ah?
Anyways, the cat is so famous that its even done collabs with brands including Pusheen and Youtooz.
It even has its own merch.
Can’t believe a cat is living a better life than me…L fr.
It seems like Smudge recently turned nine years old four months ago too.

Smudge seems to be quite active on Instagram so maybe we can expect a new meme to pop out somewhere soon.
