Many people treat their cars like their babies, and despair whenever any harm befalls them.
That’s what happened to Singaporean actress Cynthia Koh’s red Mercedes, and she is going all out to find the vandal.
Here’s what happened.
Parked Car at Private Housing Estate, Got Vandalised
In a series of Instagram stories, Koh shared that she had parked her car at a private housing estate from 2pm to 6pm on 6 April, and it was her first time there.
When she returned to her car, she found long and deep scratches on two areas of her car, as well as a punctured tire.
Thankfully, her car was fitted with run-flat tires, designed with reinforced sidewalls to allow her to drive the car temporarily to a safe location.
She tried to fix her flat tire by driving to the nearest petrol station to pump air into it, but it didn’t work. By 10:30pm, she was unable to drive the car anymore and had to call a tow truck.
She described her experience: “At this point, I’m on the verge of tears.”
Car Needs to be Repainted
On 7 April, Koh took her car to a workshop for repair, where she found out that the scratches were too deep and can’t be polished off. The car needs to be repainted.

She also paid $220 for the tyre replacement, but with the bodywork that needs to be done, the entire repair “will not be cheap”.
Koh said that she “won’t let this go”, and that this isn’t about the car.
“It’s about how sickening these people can be to think it’s okay to do this to others. If you can do this, I’m sure you can face the consequences.”
The actress then said that if the vandal is reading her posts, she’s open to settling this matter privately.
Otherwise, she will be handing over her case to the court and police for investigation.
