Chinese New Year (CNY) festivities are speedily approaching.
This year, CNY will fall on 22 January 2023, which is only two weeks away.
If you are worried about not being able to stock up on the necessary CNY goodies in time, you are in luck.
139 NTUC Fairprice outlets will be open during CNY for you to get your last-minute CNY preparation and hosting essentials. So, if you run out of your necessities, you know where you can run to get them.
Extended Opening Hours Leading Up to CNY
Like Sheng Siong, NTUC Fairprice will be extending its opening hours to most of its stores leading up to the CNY festivities this year.
NTUC Fairprice is giving you a headstart in preparing your CNY goodies until midnight.
Selected stores nationwide will be extending their hours in the days leading up to CNY from 7 to 20 January 2023, ranging from 11 pm to 2 am, depending on the different outlets.
On CNY eve, 119 NTUC Fairprice stores will remain open. However, they will only be open till 5 pm. You would have to get your reunion dinner ingredients way before that.
However, there will still be 34 stores open 24 hours, including neighbourhood stores Chai Chee and Yishun Ring Rd.
Meanwhile, you might want to catch Fairprice on Wheels in the various neighbourhoods before 2 pm on CNY eve as they will be speeding off after that.

Fairprice’s Opening Hours during CNY
Alamak! Is your extended family dropping a surprise visit to your house, but you don’t have anything ready? Fairprice got you covered for some last-minute shopping for CNY goodies.
139 Fairprice stores will remain open during CNY Day 1.
However, only 36 stores will remain operating for 24 hours, which includes neighbourhood stores Orchard Grand Court and Jalan Kayu.
The other 103 stores will only be operating until 5 pm that day. So, get your goods as early as possible before hosting your loved ones in the evening.
Is your closest NTUC Fairprice affected? Fret not, as Fairprice Online will continue online delivery between 8 am and 6 pm throughout the CNY holidays.
If you need more pineapple tarts but are too busy to buy them, order them online and have them delivered to your doorstep.

All 155 NTUC Fairprice neighbourhood stores and Fairprice on Wheels will reopen on CNY Day 2, which is 23 January 2023, Monday.

Shopping for CNY groceries will be cheaper this year.
You can use your CDC vouchers at NTUC Fairprice stores, unlike at Giant and Cold Storage. You can save up to $300 worth of pineapple tarts and love letters.
Furthermore, Fairprice will be absorbing the 1% GST hike that happened this year. CNY grocery shopping will be as cheap as yesteryear.
