With technology upgrading everything, many are starting to use food delivery apps more.

In fact, Grab has upped the game by getting Mozart to deliver food for them.

Yes, Mozart.

On TikTok, a user by the handle @morrdecai (known as Adam Syah) posted two clips of him playing the community piano in HDB blocks, and he has gone viral. 

In his first video, he played the song “Rather Be” by Clean Bandit, which got over 160,000 views at the time of writing.

Since it went viral, he posted another one of him playing Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” which has gotten over 80,000 views so far.

The 21-year-old is a GrabFood delivery rider and a student at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. 

In an interview with The Straits Times, he said he was self-taught and learnt to play the piano in secondary school. 

Since nobody would use the school’s piano in the foyer, he leveraged it to learn and practise new songs that he was interested in. 

“I would watch YouTube to learn the basic chords in a song and then figure out the melody myself,” he said.

Impressive. 

Mozart?

Many joked that he was a reincarnated Mozart since they both played the piano and had long, flamboyant hair that rolled at the end. 

People also joked that this was the reason their food went cold. To this, he clarified that he would only play the piano after he had delivered the food.

The video has gotten so much attention that Grab themselves have commented on the original clip. 

Also, Senior Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam has reposted it on Facebook, commenting that there was “something truly joyful about this.”

Not The Only Trick Up His Sleeve

Masterfully playing the piano is enough to make many of us jealous, but that’s not all Adam has to offer. 

From his other videos on TikTok, he is also skilled in playing the guitar, drawing, painting, and doing tricks on his BMX bike. 

In another of his viral video, he customised a pair of Vans shoes into a Demon Slayer-themed one. For those who don’t know, Demon Slayer is a popular anime worldwide.

When questioned on whether he would convert his skills into a career, he declined by saying that these activities are for him to “escape and de-stress,” so he didn’t want to turn them into jobs.
