Breaking news! Horse on the loose!
A horse was seen galloping against the traffic in Johor Bahru on 8 February, causing a traffic jam.
可能是在赶着回家过年?(Translation: Maybe it was in a hurry to head back home for Chinese New Year?)
Okay, on a serious note, this was first reported by Malay Mail, stating that the incident happened at about 4.30pm along the main road of Bandar Baru Permas Jaya towards the Johor Bahru East Coast Highway.

At the time of writing, the video as gotten 101K views, 1.7K shares and 400 over comments.
Some netizens have rightly pointed out the wordplay:
(Translation: Isn’t ‘road’ in Chinese called “马路” (ma lu)? So it’s a road that a horse treads.)
This is because the word ‘horse’ in Chinese is called “马” (ma) and the word ‘road’ in Chinese is called “马路” (ma lu), which translates to ‘horse road’ if we take it literally.
(Translation: This is ‘horse road’… there’s no problem at all. Haha.)
Just a little just-for-laughs for all of us who’ve been working extremely hard the past week!
But on a more serious note, the horse has since been caught and returned to the nearby horse riding academy in a healthy condition.
Enjoy the rest of your week, peeps! 🙂
