If you’re an iPhone fan, I know what you’re thinking right now.
You’re wondering if you should waste your precious 2-year contract on an iPhone 8, or just tahan a couple of months for the ultimate mother of all iPhones to come out.
The iPhone X (read: ten).
Worse than mugging for your final year exam, I tell you.
But don’t worry, we’ve found the answer for you.
Going to extraordinary lengths, we’ve checked out the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus to get you a verdict.
And by that, I mean check out the phones’ reviews by folks lucky enough to test the sets.
And here’s the verdict for you folks out there
The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus is a moderate improvement from the previous iPhone 7.
Meaning, if you have an iPhone 7, chances are you won’t be too impressed by the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.
The iPhone 8 is revealed to have a faster camera with deeper pixels and a new colour filter.
It also has a new image signal processor which helps with autofocus, HDR and exposure. This means the image captured with the new iPhones will have less noise and more vivid colours.
Sounds good, right?
Unfortunately, it can be pretty hard to spot the difference between iPhone 7 and the new iPhones out on the market.
In fact, the only way to tell the difference in quality is if you zoom into the photo. A lot.
Great for checking if you have pimples, probably nothing else.
But everyone agrees that the wireless charging and better battery life is definitely a plus. That and a faster processor, but who’s counting?
Design? Same same but different. #NotWorthItForSome
Here’s who should get the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus
However, critics reviewed that if you’re holding onto an iPhone 6S or older, you might be happy enough with an iPhone 8.
After all, with that jump up the iPhone ladder, you’re essentially looking at twice the internal storage, wireless charging, a new design and a camera that works faster.
Well, either that or if you’re too broke to afford the iPhone X, just go for the iPhone 8.
After all, a minor improvement is still considered an improvement, right?
You know what I think?
If you have the spare cash, get the iPhone 8 Plus without a contract.
When the iPhone X comes out, sell the iPhone 8 Plus at ah beng shops for some cash and get the X on contract.
It’ll at least turn out cheaper that way, if you want to try both phones, that is.
That or just use Android. #AndroidFanForever
