Well, you’ve come to the right place because I’m here to tell you all about the new affordable iPhone SE!

iPhone SE is Back
Many didn’t think it would happen, but the iPhone SE is back and so is the home button.
In a press release, Apple said the new iPhone SE will be priced from S$649 in Singapore, with pre-orders starting last Friday, 17 April.
Reader: *gasps* You lied to me. YOU SAID $0!
Patience, my dear reader, we’re getting there.
The phone will come in three colours – black, white and (PRODUCT)RED, and also three storage capacities: 64GB, 128GB and 256GB, according to Business Insider.
In addition to being water and dust-resistant, it also has fast charging that allows for 50% charge in just 30 minutes.
Oh, and it looks exactly like the iPhone 8, with a 4.7-inch display.
Apple also said that the new SE has the best single-camera system ever in an iPhone, including a 12-megapixel f/1.8 aperture wide camera, and depth estimation for portraits on the front camera.
It also runs on iOS 13, so while it looks like the iPhone 8, it has the internals of the iPhone 11.
But enough about the details, how much is it?
Cost $0 in S’pore If You Sign a Contract
According to Hardware Zone, Starhub is the first to announce its prices for the iPhone SE, which will be available via the StarHub Online Store from 24 April 2020, 8.00 AM.
Delivery is free-of-charge.
And if you sign a contract and pay a certain amount every month, just like those reusabale masks you received from the government, it will be absolutely free.
That’s right. If you sign a contract and pay at least $80 a month, you’ll get either the 64GB or 128 GB iPhone SE for $0.
The 64GB costs $87 if you pay $55 a month, and $152 if you want the 128GB version.
But they’re also offering some very affordable 24-month instalment plans.
But is it worth it?
Well, at $0 for some plans, it couldn’t be any cheaper unless Starhub paid you to take the new phone back home.
But if you’re a loyal Apple user and you’re encountering issues with your very old iPhone like slowness or a crappy battery, the iPhone SE is a pretty solid upgrade.
Plus, the economy isn’t great at the moment, so do you really want to wait to buy the next great iPhone that you’ll need to sell some of your vital organs to pay for?
Apple User: Well, I don’t mind selling my kidney as long as the new iPhone ads look super cool on YouTube.
Why am I not surprised?
