Say what you will about local productions. Some hate it. Some love it. And then there are those of you who are like me—reminiscing the good ol’ days of local TV.
Doesn’t ring a bell? Let this old man here tell y’all about the good o’ days.

If you don’t know any of them, you’re probably the reason why people like me are feeling old. But do stay on! Don’t close the article yet!
I’m sure you must have clicked on the article for a reason. After all, we did say in the title that this article would be about Jack Neo’s CNY movie this year.

Yeap, it’s a movie about Liang Xi Mei! Our favourite aunty when we were young!
For the younglings out there, here’s a chance for you to get acquainted with the entertainment old ones like me had back before the internet became a thing!
Even if you don’t know much about Liang Xi Mei, you can’t really go wrong with a Jack Neo production, right?
…right?
(I’m referring to the number of adverts in the movie. The movie is pretty good IMO)
Anyway, like most of you curious ones, I slammed my fingers on the play button to witness the full glory of Liang Xi Mei— and I wasn’t disappointed!
Gotta say, Jack Neo’s still got it in him even after all these years! His portrayal of Liang Xi Mei is exactly how I remembered the character to be!
Though, I gotta agree that the movie trailer isn’t that entertaining. Sure, there are a couple of jokes here and there, but it’s nothing spectacular.
However, I’m hoping that’s just because the production team has decided to keep all the good parts hidden!
Wouldn’t you rather watch a great movie with a mediocre trailer than a mediocre movie with a great trailer? I believe we’ve been duped by the latter far too many times(sigh).
That being said, the netizens seem pretty excited about the movie too!
Man, I really hope that this movie will be awesome. With Namewee’s song stirring up memories of 搞笑行动,this is a perfect time for the movie to be released.
Nice work, marketing department. Nicely done.
Since you’re here, why not watch a video about a guy who lodged a Police report here in Singapore because he was friendzoned? Seriously. Here, watch it and do remember to share it (and also subscribe to Goody Feed YouTube channel)!
