It seems that dinosaurs and TikToker abusing poor dinosaurs aren’t the only things to look out for when walking the newly-opened Jurassic mile.

Now, you have to watch out for balls too.

Golf balls, to be exact.

Here’s what happened to a lady who was minding her own business at Jurassic Mile.

Golf Ball from Nearby Country Club Hit & Injured Woman in Jurassic Mile

Just yesterday (22 Oct 2020), Facebook user Derek Yap took to the social media platform to share his experience walking the Lost World-esque park connector.

He had brought his family and helper to the park connector near Changi T4 for a walk at around 6pm.

The butterflies were fluttering, dinosaurs safely kept behind fences (except for one) and all was right in the world until they walked past the 2 Parasaurolophus exhibit at Zone J.

The family heard a huge thud and saw their helper collapse to her knees, holding her head in pain.

Yap revealed that it was a golf ball which flew from Tanah Merah Country Club that hit his helper.

Tanah Merah Country Club is located right next to the trail.

Help Immediately Rendered

Thankfully, he said, there was a Certis Cisco security staff nearby who immediately informed her supervisor about the incident and a man arrived shortly after.

An ambulance was called and a doctor helped to patch his helper up.

The doctor advised for the helper to return home and be monitored by the family instead of being admitted to the hospital, where she has to stay for a few hours before going home.

So far, Yap said, his helper is fine.

Issue Was Allegedly Brought Up Before

According to Yap, a Changi Airport Arrival Experience manager told him that they had raised up the issue of golf balls hitting visitors walking at Jurassic Mile when first building the path.

The country club’s upper management, however, assured them that the balls wouldn’t hit the visitors “due to the wind’s direction” and said there’s “no need” for safety netting.

It was added that this was the first time such an incident has happened and that they’ll be looking at the issue once again.

Yap ended off his post by asking visitors to the trail to be extra careful; and to have a helmet on, or umbrellas open, when walking among the dinosaurs.

Hopefully, Changi Airport and the country club can reach a resolution and do something about deviant golf balls as soon as possible.
