Cases of maids abusing employer’s children might be familiar to you, but have you heard of maids kidnapping the children?
It is known that a maid could have ‘kidnapped’ her employer’s children because her phone was confiscated.
The incident happened at Blk 827 of Woodlands St 81, on Dec 11.
According to Xin Min Daily News, a passer-by known as Mr Bai saw the children’s mother crying at the void deck while he was going home with his friend.
They were concerned and went up to ask the lady if she was okay.
Mr Bai said, “She was very agitated, and told us that her children were missing since noon, most likely taken away by the family’s maid.”
The children were already missing for 2 hours when he saw her.
According to Mr Bai, the lady had exposed the maid stealing a phone the day before. She was very worried when her children went missing.
Anxious, she could only look for witnesses at the void deck and called the police.
2 investigators and 4 uniformed police officers went to the family’s flat to look into the incident.
Much to everyone’s surprise, the ‘missing’ children were brought home safely by a man who is believed to be their father.
At about 4 pm, he was seen pushing them home in a stroller.
When asked about the incident, the mother was unwilling to say anything, except that her children are unharmed.
Thank goodness they are safe!
