How far are you willing to go for your job?
As far as possible? Or until the extent till your health is threatened?
Most Singaporeans probably belongs to the latter: after all, in Singapore, health is wealth.
But then comes along this security guard.
Big Caucasian Man at Roxy Square
On 5 April, a video of a dispute between a big, beefy Caucasian man and a skinny security guard was uploaded by infamous Facebook Page, All Singapore Stuff.
The video begins with the Caucasian man filming himself and a security guard, Mr Lim.
Lim tried to show the way to the exit but the Caucasian man stretched out the arm with the mobile phone and blocked his way.
The man then claimed that Lim “walked into his arm”.
Laughed & Mocked At Security Guards
When Lim indicated that his colleague was filming the entire incident, presumedly trying to get him to cooperate, he simply pointed and laughed at the camera.
Lim was heard telling the man that there were three exits in the carpark and they would help direct him out.
The man started laughing and spoke towards the phone about the guard’s claims.
One Punch Man
Then, the duo walked towards another part of the carpark.
The man couldn’t resist calling Lim an idiot.
As they turned the corner, the man struck his leg out and tripped Lim.
When Lim told the man enough ah, he struck.
He punched Lim in the face and his spectacles flew off.
The video, of course, went viral with over 380,000 views and nearly 7.5k shares.

What Happened?
According to the Straits Times, the security firm has spoken up about what happened.
At about 12.15 am, the man in the video had approached a security guard. He said that he was trying to leave the building but couldn’t find an exit.
When the guard had tried to explain that the main exit was locked due to the late timing, he demanded to speak to the supervisor.
Which turned out to be Mr Lim (the guard in the video).
Refused To Listen
Lim said that he tried to tell the man about several other exits from the building but was ignored.
Then, he claimed, the man started exhibiting aggressive behaviour, gesturing with his hands and stood very close to him.
When Lim asked the man if he was going to hit him, the man said, “Yes, maybe later.”
That was when Lim asked the guard to take a video of the incident. Thankfully.
Sprained Neck, Swollen Eye & Broken Glasses
So what happened to Mr Lim after the video?
He reportedly suffered from a sprained neck and swollen eye. To add salt to the injury, his glasses didn’t escape unscathed.
He was given two days’ medical leave and went for an X-ray. After which, he had to go for a CT scan as they detected an abnormality during the X-ray examination.
He needed painkillers to cope with the pain.
Apologetic and Remorseful
It turns out that on Friday afternoon, the man turned up at the mall again. This time to apologise.
And surprise, surprise, this was after the video went viral online.
Mr Lim’s security firm, Regal Security, said that they are planning to sue the Caucasian man.
In addition, they’ll be covering his medical and legal costs.
And one final reminder: you can be mad at the Caucasian man but don’t do any CSI, eh? After all, CSI or doxxing is now illegal and may land you in jail, or worse, slapped with hefty fines.
