Share the Moment
If you love light projection shows, here is an activity for you.
National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) and Giving.sg have partnered to bring you Share the Moment, a series of light projection shows.
Share the Moment will be shown on the facades of The Fullerton Hotel Singapore and the Merlion. Themed “City of Good”, these shows feature 14 original creations from six local educational institutions that have never been seen before.
These talented students found inspiration from the stories of the President’s Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards (PVPA) 2022 nominees and spun them into stunning artworks.
The nominees come from diverse backgrounds, all recognised for their acts of giving to the community.
The nominees’ stories reflect the theme “City of Good”, reminding us to take on the new year with renewed hope and celebrate acts of giving in all sizes. The light projections inspire and encourage others to continue doing their best to give and help communities in need.
If your interest has been piqued, here is a snippet of the artworks!
One artwork, which will be projected on the facade of the Merlion, depicts the abundance of resources that the library has to offer and how they give us easy access to grow in knowledge and develop as people.
It pays tribute to public libraries and was inspired by how the National Library Board promotes reading and learning.
Another artwork, inspired by DBS’s Adopt-A-Hawker Centre initiative, will be shown on the facade of The Fullerton Hotel Singapore. The initiative supported the livelihoods of hawkers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Using vibrant colours, the artwork depicts the spread of love through food, an inherent aspect of Singapore’s diverse hawker culture.
That’s just a peek into the beautiful artworks that will be shown. If you want to see all of them, catch the light projection shows from 8 pm to 10.30 pm on 26 to 30 December, and from 8 pm to 11.45 pm on New Year’s Eve on 31 December. The shows run every 15 minutes and will wow you with their creativity.

Road Closure and Blocked MRT Exits
To ensure that everyone stays safe and in good cheer, the number of people entering and leaving key areas around the Bay and surrounding districts will be monitored. This is to prevent overcrowding on New Year’s Eve.

Please follow the instructions of the security personnel and police officers on duty so that everyone may enjoy the festivities.
