Before Squid Game, there was Singapore Social.
Just like Squid Game, Singapore Social took Singapore by storm, except the screams made by viewers might sound very different.
Singapore Social is a reality TV show about six people in Singapore struggling with…erm, their problems that somehow people in Singapore can’t relate to, like lack of support from family members for a business venture, lack of love from others and lack of everything except for the lack of money.

And speaking of money, since they all seem like Crazy Rich Asians, the cast members won’t need to be paid millions to star in the show, right?
Well.
One has spoken, and it turned out that she’s paid a whopping…$0.

In Singapore Social, her love life and her work life was showcased to the world.
In an interview last year, she said that she was the last cast member to be in the show, and is the only member who did not sign a contract.
Last week, as people are still rewatching Xiaxue’s interview with Sylvia, Tabitha revealed something that somehow shocked us for a few seconds before we go, Meh.
It turned out that she wasn’t paid for the show.
That revelation came in a YouTube video with a channel called You Got Watch.
In fact, she didn’t even watch the show, saying, “I’ve never even watched the show even though I’m in it and I’m on the freaking poster.”
However, with the reality show, she gained more publicity for her music, adding that even as of today, people are still finding her music through the show.
