Lest you’ve forgotten, the SingapoRediscovers Vouchers scheme is a free S$100 voucher given to all of us to…erm, rediscover Singapore. Many people used it to have a staycation while others use it on various other attractions.
However, there are still those one million people who feel that this voucher is useless and ignore its existence altogether.
Despite Extension of SingapoRediscovers Vouchers, Half of the Vouchers Are Still Unused
Over 2.96 million adult Singaporeans who were over 18 years old had received the vouchers.
As of 1 Dec, more than half of the adult population in Singapore have yet to use their vouchers despite the announcement of the extension made on 22 November, whereby the vouchers can be used by 31 March 2022 (but they must be booked before 31 December 2021).
On the other hand, about 1.4 million Singaporeans have used their vouchers at least once. Over 1.8 million transactions were made.
This is an improvement as compared to 1 Nov where 1.3 million Singaporeans have used their vouchers at least once.
Initially, the vouchers were to be used from 1 Dec 2020 to the end of June 2021. However, the deadline was extended in late April to 31 Dec 2021.
Recently, it was announced that the validity of the vouchers will be extended to 31 March next year but bookings have to be made by the end of this year.
If you don’t intend to use them and do not want them to go to waste, you can donate them, which you can do so at the booking partners.
