In addition to being super cool (technical term), Tesla cars are also said to be incredibly safe.
In the US, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has consistently given Tesla cars high marks when it comes to safety ratings.
At one point, Tesla’s Model S achieved the best safety rating of any car in history.

It’s so safe, in fact, that according to Tesla, the all-electric car broke the testing equipment at an independent commercial facility.
So, it’s, therefore, a little unsurprising that in what must be the first recorded accident involving a Tesla, netizens commented on how strong its exterior is.
Accident in S’pore Involving Tesla Shows How Strong Tesla Model 3 is
Footage of the accident was first shared on the Facebook page ROADS.sg in a post last Saturday (23 Oct).
The video starts with the dashcam car travelling along Balestier Road on the rightmost lane.
Ahead of the dashcam car, a red Tesla Model 3 can be seen making a right turn into Shan Road.
Having made that right turn before, I can say that one has to be extra cautious and make several checks before turning right, as drivers can’t see vehicles approaching from the bend with their view obstructed by buildings.
The Tesla driver evidently does not do this, which causes the dashcam car to slam into its side with a loud thud.
The accident is said to have taken place at around 1:50pm that day.

Netizens Divided
As with any traffic accident video, or any video that has been submitted online, netizens were divided as to who was in the wrong.
Some believe it was the dashcam car as the driver had the right of way.
Others, however, are certain the dashcam car driver must have spotted the red Tesla and should have stopped to prevent a collision.
There was one thing most commenters could agree on, however: that the Tesla was strong af.
Is it as strong as they say? Have a look:

In any case, we hope that all those involved in the accident didn’t sustain any serious injuries.
Back in July this year, Tesla opened its first showroom in Singapore at Raffles City.
It features the Tesla Model 3, which is often touted as the world’s first mass-market electric vehicle.
