There’s Going to be a Spicy Oreo & We Kid You Not

Nowadays, the entire F&B industry is about “One-upping” each other.

Remember the Chupa Chups Lollipops drink my colleague was writing about two days back?

Yeah, that kind of “one-ups”.

Not that I mind though, since companies being innovative would mean more food choices for us. And now, that innovation has come to Oreo.

We all remember Oreo as the vanilla filled chocolate cookies (Maybe chocolate, peanut and mint too, depending on where you’re from). Now, Oreo has announced two new flavours for the cookies.

Oooooh, the chocolate Hazelnut Oreo sure looks tempting! I’m guessing it would taste something like oreo with Nutella!

The hot and spicy cinnamon oreo on the other hand, well, just feels odd to me. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to try the cookie. But I have a feeling it’s gonna be an acquired taste sort of deal, you know.

These two flavours aside, there are news of three other flavours which might hit the shelves next year too!

The other fan-suggested flavours, namely “Cherry Cola”, “Kettle Corn” and “Pina Colada” were all created by the #MyOreoCreation campaign.

The Cherry Cola cookie will use popping candy (wait wat?) to recreate the fizzy sensation from a cola drink while the Pina Colada flavoured cookies will be stuffed with a Pineapple and coconut filling. Kettle corn ones will see puffed millet pieces mixed into the cream.

Yikes, is it weird that I am actually tempted to try all these flavours? I’ve got a feeling that I might actually like them all!

I’m preparing my credit card as we speak. Time to order me some Oreos!
