Well, if you’ve not thought of getting one of them for yourself, chances are, you’re probably going to want to after reading this article.

People Who Use TraceTogether-SafeEntry to Enter Cinema Find It More Convenient & Faster

According to a report by Sin Ming News Daily on 26 Oct 2020, using the TraceTogether token for Safe Entry is faster and more convenient than the current mode of SafeEntry that we’re using.

TraceTogether-Only Safe Entry is implemented at cinemas from yesterday.

The Chinese paper reported that the process only takes 3 seconds.

Unlike your NRIC, the TraceTogether token is designed to hang easily from somewhere on your body, and some designs look like they have a healthy BMI, too:

This means that you don’t have to waste precious seconds digging out your wallet to search for your identity card, possibly holding up the line.

You also do not have to stand around and try to scan the QR code with your mobile phone anymore.

It’s not just made easier on the public’s side; people who are manning the TraceTogether stations also said it’s made their job easier.

Blinking Light

There’s an indicator on the TraceTogether token which lights up once every minute. If it’s green, it means that it’s working and you’re good to go.

But if it’s red, that means the token is running low on battery.

For those who see a red blinking light, you can call TraceTogether’s service hotline at 6973 6511 or email support@tracetogether.gov.sg for assistance.

Some Places Out Of Stock

Remember how we said that people in Singapore turned up in droves to collect the devices?

So many turned up that some of the collection points went Out of Stock (OOS).

Well, if you’re worried about there not being enough tokens for people who want them, Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan has words that might soothe your worries.

While they’ve originally made the tokens for the elderly and people who do not use a smartphone, they’re adjusting the supply based on the demand.

He assures that the government understands that there are smartphone users who want a token of their own instead of using the TraceTogether app, and they’re open to providing the devices for this group of people as well.

At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is everyone has TraceTogether, he added.

More constituency CCs will be progressively opened for token collection from Oct to Dec.

By the second half of December, all CCs will be opened for collection.
