If you’re an avid fan of chips, you would know that there are many different kinds of chips in stores right now. For instance, there are chicken rice flavoured chips, beef rendang chips, curry puff flavoured chips and even laksa chips.
Admittedly kind of a weird ‘notion’, considering how chips are normally associated with this…
Rather than this.
But hey, we are living in 2020 right now, so we should always keep an open mind about such things. After all, without progression, we’re just living empty lives-
Editor: “Hey, have you heard? They have white rabbit flavoured potato chips now!”
White rabbit flavoured potato chips?
Is this where I insert the infamous ‘this is why Aliens don’t visit us’ meme or what?
White Rabbit Flavoured Potato Chips Now Available in Selected NTUC FairPrice Outlets
Lay’s has added an interesting flavour to their line-up:
White rabbit… flavoured chips.
Initially released in June 2020, the snack is described to possess an aroma similar to that of Korean honey butter chips.
And it also apparently sticks to the classic White Rabbit candy flavour, with a lot more ‘original taste’ than can be said for a chockload of other spin-offs.
Yes, white rabbit bubble tea. I’m looking at you.
NTUC Fairprice Outlets
Wish to try this bag of chips without having to scour through numerous online shopping sites?
Well, you’re in luck.
According to Mothership, the snack’s available in Singapore at NTUC FairPrice outlets.
However, it seems to only be available at designated stores.

A bag, which weighs in at around 65 grams, purportedly costs S$2.50.
Not too shabby. Not too shabby at all.
Still Not Appeased?
To some, the glorious White Rabbit candy may be more than just a sweet;
It’s a legend, a myth.
And so, if you’re one of those who would do anything for a taste of that sweet, sweet candy, here’s another revelation:

There’s actually DIY White Rabbit milk tea at Fairprice Finest outlets!
In fact, according to my colleague who window-shops in FairPrice outlets regularly, this can be found very easily with lots of available stock.
Coming in four different flavours, these drinks are priced at S$2.15 each. Flavours consist of:
- Milk Tea
- White Peach Oolong Tea
- Sea Salt and Cheese
- Genki Black Tea
However, be warned that just like previous renditions of the “attempted drink”, the taste leaves more to be desired. However, it would surely suffice for those with just a slight craving for White Rabbit candy.
To date, there have been many reinvented forms of White Rabbit candy, including milk, ice cream and even lip balm.
Whether they were up to standard, however, is quite another case altogether. But to avid fans of the brand…

It would surely be a reassuring notion that despite the years, the brand’s still far from being done.
What’s the White Rabbit Candy?
Lest your NRIC number starts with T, you might not know why boomers are obsessed with the White Rabbit candy.
Other than it being something they have during their younger days, it’s popular for its edible transparent “paper” wrapping and its super-sweet taste.
It has since become a drink, ice-cream favour and even…chou chou.
Right, this is indeed why aliens have refused to visit us.
