Meanwhile, our vaccination rate has been stuck at 84% for over two weeks since 13 Oct. With a portion of the population still unvaccinated, especially in older age groups, some of those who contract the disease are sadly bound to succumb to it.

16 COVID-19 Deaths

16 more COVID-19 cases passed away from complications, bringing our death toll to 380.

Aged between 44 and 90, all had various underlying medical conditions.

The 44-year-old was not vaccinated against COVID-19, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said.

To address these questions, they provided a chart showing how the virus affects vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals.

As you can see, those who are not fully vaccinated are eight times more likely to fall severely ill and require ICU care, as well as succumb to the disease.

This number jumps up to 14 times and 25 times respectively for non-fully vaccinated seniors aged 60 and above.

“The evidence is clear: Vaccination protects you,” the ministry said.
