Other than the WP saga, there’s another one that’s holding people’s attention right now.

That’s right, I’m talking about Wang Leehom and his alleged cheating ways.

Wang’s marriage of eight years broke apart spectacularly, with wife Lee Jinglei spilling the beans on this mandopop superstar.

You can watch this video to know more about the saga:

Many celebrities were implicated in this matter, including BY2’s Yumi who was allegedly one of Wang’s friends with benefit.

Yesterday (22 December), she allegedly tried to commit suicide via overdosing due to the saga but failed.

Then, her friend who had accompanied her tagged Wang and told him it was his fault.

Well, now another internet user is coming out to dispute her suicide.

Another Weibo User Claims BY2’s Yumi Had Faked Her Suicide; Said She Was However Indeed in the Hospital

A Weibo user, who claims to be a medical worker at the hospital Yumi went to, spoke out about the incident.

Yumi, the user said, only ate two vitamins and two melatonin pills. According to WebMD, melatonin helps people sleep better.

She was in good health condition and was discharged by 9am.

According to the user, Yumi was admitted into the hospital at 5am.

Some netizens questioned why she was sent to Critical Care, then, if she did not swallow anything dangerous. A commenter replied that there are protocols in place for people looking to commit suicide.

“Some people really want to die and might not be totally honest with doctors.”

Response

According to 8World, a staff working for Yumi has responded to the allegation.

They condemn those who would spread fake news to try and get attention at this time where everything happened so suddenly.

They are troubled and saddened by the situation but thank supporters, nonetheless, and hope Yumi will get better soon.

What Happened

From Lee Jinglei’s exposé, she said that a certain woman, who’s one of Wang’s friends with benefits, had sent Wang nudes on his birthday, and called him “HomHom” in an Instagram post.

Netizens started doing some digging online and came to the conclusion that it’s Yumi.

Initially, Yumi denied it, saying “Words are powerful, the mass spreading of rumours can distort the truth and what people say can kill others. I’m sorry to have bothered the police in the middle of the night.”

However, a few days later, Bai admitted that she previously dated Wang, but back in 2012.

She maintains that the pair never had any inappropriate relations ever since he got hitched.

She said that she had sent Wang intimate photos back when they were dating – because she was willing to do anything for love at the time – but denied messaging him in 2019, or sending him that nude photo everyone’s talking about.

As for that Instagram “Homhom” photo, Yumi said that it was actually from 2013, not 2015, as some had claimed.

She said she had posted the picture out of spite after having an argument with her then-boyfriend. She acknowledged that it was “childish”, and said she later made it private after realising that it was “inappropriate”.

However, Lee disputed that claim, saying that the pair were still friends on WhatsApp, and alleged that Yumi sent a sexually explicit photo under the name “Yumi” in 2015.
