It seems that us Singaporeans have a thing for homegrown male singers with names starting with “J”. Bonus points if they are unproblematic, but you know that’s too much to ask for sometimes.
JJ Lin fans, get ready for the night of your lives because your (original) national treasure is kicking off his world tour with two performances on 4 and 5 November in Singapore.
In an Instagram post made last evening (25 July), the singer-songwriter gave fans a lot to be excited over by releasing a tour date announcement video.

While he had previously hyped fans up with a poster for the tour, exact dates had not been released at that time.
As mentioned, JJ Lin will be going back to where it all started by making his first stop of the “JJ20” World Tour at the Singapore National Stadium on 4 and 5 November.
While more dates for the subsequent leg of the tour have yet to be released, it was also shared in the post that JJ Lin would then be making his way to Taoyuan City, Taiwan, for a performance on 3 December. His concert at KL has also been confirmed, set to happen on 18 December.
Tour to Extend beyond Asia in 2023
In his post, JJ Lin also noted, “Look out North America, Europe and Australia, I’ll be coming soon in 2023”, giving his international fans something to look forward to.
The singer-songwriter has had quite the impressive and longstanding career, with 14 studio albums under his name since 2003.
His last world tour was held in 2019, pre-pandemic, where he also performed at the Singapore National Stadium in December.
