Just recently, I wrote about how a bubble tea shop in the Philippines has invented a mask that supposedly allows you to drink while keeping your mask on.
I also wrote about how it’s arguably mankind’s greatest invention, and how it would be much appreciated on our shores.
Which would have been a definite boon to our bubble-tea obsessed generation, with all things considered.
And what do you know? It seems that miraculously…

Mask That Has a Hole to Drink Bubble Tea Now Available in S’pore for $9.99
Just yesterday (19 August 2020), The Whale City @ City Square Mall posted a riveting piece of news on their Instagram page, where apparently…
The said mask will be available for pre-order!
Complete with a bubble tea straw hole of up to 14mm wide, a velcro seal for extra protection and a sleek, black look, the mask is essentially Gallontea’s original rendition but inscribed with The Whale Tea’s own logo.
“Hard to drink bubble tea with a mask?” the caption went.
“It’s time for bbt drinking mask! Taking preorders now! $9.99 per piece. Please PM!”
According to the comments section of the post, there is also no minimum order for the mask.
So you’re essentially free to just pop by, shell out $10 and head on to Gong Cha for their bubble tea.
Thug life, but if it’s not illegal it’s fair game.

The unique mask was actually teased in an Instagram post two days ago when The Whale City announced the launch of their latest technology: bubble tea drinking mask.
“If you remove the mask entirely to drink, people stare at you,” they wrote in the post.
“If you lift your mask halfway, you look totally weird and sometimes dirty your mask. Most importantly, why risk infection while sucking up those chewy bobas in a river of brown sugar?
“We do not want you to compromise your safety to enjoy our bubble teas. Hence we are launching our latest technology – bubble tea drinking mask.
“Please PM for preorders as quantity is limited!”

And though few may have speculated the exact nature of the mask at the time, it has become clear that it’s indeed the latest piece of technology…
And one that warrants much more attention than implied in the post.
