I’m sure you’re familiar with Ann Kok.
This pretty actress has been gracing Singapore’s silver screen for more than a decade, and over that period of time, she’s become an established actress we all love and adore.
But did you know that aside from acting, Ann Kok’s more than capable of entrepreneurship as well?
Harmony Bakery
It looks like she has been busy with the operational side of things because she’s just opened a cake shop in Johor Bahru.
Called Harmony Bakery, it’s a castella cake brand that she’s set to co-own alongside her Malaysian kakis.
The shop offers two types of fluffy castella egg sponge cakes: the original flavour and a cheese version.
Mhmm… looks tasty!
How did her decision to invest in a business come about?
When Ann’s Malaysian friends wanted to open a cake shop, they had approached her to be an ambassador. She, however, took it one step further by investing in the business and becoming a silent partner.
She said that apart from being trustworthy, their track record speaks for itself (they have a bistro-pub in Kuala Lumpur).
And she even got Thomas Ong, another popular Singapore celebrity, to be a fellow ambassador too.
It looks like having celebrities as friends aren’t so bad, huh?
This isn’t the first time Ann Kok opened a business
A few years ago, Ann had actually opened a shop in Joo Chiat with fellow actress, Jessica Liu. Yeah, Jessica Liu who just got married recently.
The shop, called BFF Zakka Shop, unfortunately, closed down in 2014.
Ann’s contract with media giant Mediacorp had ended in 2014 and she chose not to renew, which led to us seeing her less on TV.
She had appeared on the big screen after that with the movie, Filial Piety.
In 2015, she returned to the small screen with drama Crescendo.
And in 2016, she had a part in a Toggle mini-series Trapped Minds, and even a musical called Mulan the Musical.
But it’s still not enough, because there’s no such word in the legion of Ann Kok’s fanboys.
Oh yeah, for Ann’s fanboys, she actually did a swimsuit shoot recently! Check it out.

In the meantime, why don’t you show your love for the actress by heading to the bakery and trying out their cakes?
Address: Harmony Bakery, G-44 Ground Floor, KSL City Mall, Johor Bahru.
You never know; she might just be there!
