If there’s one thing I’m afraid of when walking around an HDB estate—and no, it’s definitely not the E-Scooters(since I’m afraid of those things anywhere), it’s high-rise littering.
Just imagine, you’re minding your own business, heading home from work one fine evening. You were just promoted at work, and your crush confessed his/her love for you. Your day simply couldn’t be any better.
And then, just as you were about to enter the void deck below your block, you feel something smashing into your head. Before you blacked out, you caught a glimpse of the object that hit you.
A freakin’ rice cooker.
Nani the flying f**k?
Well, such were the perils the residents of Block 623 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 9 faced on 19 Jan. A woman was arrested after throwing several items from a kitchen window.
Items include, but might not be limited to, a rick cooker, a kettle, pots and pans, and clothes.
As if that wasn’t enough, the woman subsequently threw down a laundry pole that was hanging outside the window.
Here, have a look at the carnage in the video below:

It’s unclear as to why she did that. Perhaps it was an emotional breakdown? Turning to the comments section to find the answer, I was greeted with various responses.
Some netizens took the light-hearted approach, telling the woman to “throw money leh” instead of throwing the kitchen wares.
Then there is this a**hole telling the woman to “throw herself down”. Hey man, what she’s doing might not be right, but your comment is simply uncalled for- kinda like your brain.
*Ahem*
I apologize for that. Anyway, the woman was subsequently arrested on 19 Jan and charged in court on 20 Jan. While we might never find out the full story to her erratic behaviour, let’s just be glad that nobody was injured in the incident.
