This China Firm Builds Team Spirit By Slapping Each Other

Let’s go for some team bonding activities to enhance social relations and promote collaborative works! Where shall we go? Escape room? Forest adventure? Paint ball?

Not for this china firm in Nanchang, Jiangxi, apparently.

Here’s their simple but very painful exercise: kneeling on the stage and slapping each other. This event is held as part of the company’s 14th anniversary celebrations.

According to a spokesperson from the company, the exercise is nothing special and it’s just a test for the employees. The main aim is to build team spirit.

He adds that they are not the only company practicing this, and the main aim is really for… team cohesion.

Here’s the irony, they are in the beauty industry (美容机构). So imagine after slapping each other on a Sunday, which this event took place (17 December), they are back to work on a Monday with a red and swollen face.

Facing their customers like this:

Translation: Hi, what beauty treatment would you like to do today?

Thoughts

Honestly, asking females to slap each other all in the name of team bonding will backfire. Instead of team bonding, I think it’s more like team breaking.

Our dear netizen made an interesting point here:

Translation: I’ll believe what you say if you ask every single staff to slap the boss.

Some question the process and the company’s values.

Translation: There are still people willing to work for this kind of company?

Translation: This firm will never make it in life.

What do you think? A bizarre situation, isn’t it?

Since you’re here, why not watch a video about a guy who lodged a Police report here in Singapore because he was friendzoned? Seriously. Here, watch it and do remember to share it (and also subscribe to Goody Feed YouTube channel)!
