A homeless man reportedly passed away on a covered walkway in Ang Mo Kio.
And no one even realised until three hours later.
Here’s how it happened.
A body lying on the walkway
The man’s motionless body was found on Friday (4 Nov) morning.
An 84-year-old resident said that another resident had saw the homeless man lying on the walkway at 2am that morning.
The covered walkway where the man was found connects blocks 639 and 640 of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6.
However, the resident didn’t think much about it as he thought that the man was merely sleeping.
Understandably so, as the homeless man was frequently seen in the area.
At approximately 5am, a female resident going for her morning exercise found the man lying motionless and felt that something was amiss.
Perhaps women really do have a sixth sense.
She called the police afterwards.

The deceased had been lying on the covered walkway for at least three hours.
Pronounced dead at the scene
The police confirmed that they had received a report of an unnatural death at the location.
The homeless man, 68, was found motionless and pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Preliminary investigations have ruled out homicide, and further investigations are still ongoing.
Homeless man slept in the void deck
The deceased, known as “Adi”, apparently did not have a fixed place of residence.
Adi had recently been sleeping in the void deck of block 639, with his personal belongings stored in a storeroom in Block 640.
Although Adi was homeless, he apparently did not bother anybody.
Adi would fold his clothes before heading to sleep, covering himself with a few layers of clothes to keep himself warm.
On Friday, the police were seen inspecting the metal bench in the void deck where Adi slept, which is currently cordoned off.
The police also took several items of clothing away as evidence.
Apparently, Adi also used to do odd jobs – washing dishes at a nearby kopitiam and washing cars, just to name a few.
While he would often speak loudly, Adi seemed to be a hardworking individual.
However, the 68-year-old was withdrawn and never spoke about his personal life. As such, residents have never heard him mention any family members.
