Hey, we're talking about Jewel again! It's such a good article fodder! Those abstaining from the doughnut because of the crowds better consider checking it out soon (before 10 June) if you intend to do it within the next few months. Why? Because it's going to be filled with a fresh wave of people in a bit, including lots of children enjoying their June holidays. What's happening on 10 June? "Jewel’s Massive Playground (is) Opening", yes yes you know that because it's in the title. The "Massive Playground" is called Canopy Park If you've been to Jewel, you may have noticed that what looks like half of the 5th level hasn't opened yet. If you haven't been to Jewel, I'm letting you know right now that about half of the 5th level is really not open yet. That would be Canopy Park so it's the part that's opening on the 10th. The attractions there include: Topiary Walk Petal Gardens Foggy Bowls Discovery Slides Canopy Bridge Manulife Sky Nets- Walking Manulife Sky Nets- Bouncing Hedge Maze Mirror Maze Helpful? Not really, because they're just names and you still haven't the smoggiest clue what Foggy Bowls are is. Therefore, here's a very brief description of each just so you know what you're paying for. Topiary Walk, Petal Gardens and Foggy Bowls These seem to be the attractions that you just walk through as part of following the path on the 5th level (in the paid area that's Canopy Park, that is). Topiary Walk has Topiary for you to Walk beside. They're made of colourful flowers rather than the usual shrubs so it's supposed to be cooler. Petal Gardens has Petals... still attached to their pistils, stems and leaves. So flowers. Petal Gardens has flowers. (they're seasonal) Credits: Jewel Changi Airport Foggy Bowls, believe it or not, has Bowls, dips in the artificial grass, of Fog(gy), which is a strange, yet alluring, idea. Credits: Jewel Changi Airport Discovery Slides The Slide part you probably understand, and it's a Discovery because the whole structure is pretty weird looking. Changi Jewel calls it an interactive sculpture. It is also a viewing deck, the highest in Jewel. Credits: Jewel Changi Airport Canopy Bridge The Bridge you see at the Canopy level of the Shiseido Forest Valley. Has a glass panel flooring. Credits: Jewel Changi Airport Manulife Sky Nets - Walking and Bouncing Yes, they're separate attractions. One net is taut. You walk on it. Credits: Jewel Changi Airport The other net is not taut. You bounce on it. One is more fun than the other. One is also more expensive than the other. Hedge Maze and Mirror Maze Last but not least, the mazes. Self-explanatory, unless you don't know what a maze is. One's made of Hedge(s). Credits: Jewel Changi Airport One's made of Mirror(s). And you get a little foam bat to check each opening before proceeding so you don't spoil their property when you smash through the mirrors. Credits: Jewel Changi Airport Again, they're separate attractions with different prices because one will get you more lost (which is a good thing). Prices Firstly, to enter the Canopy Park at all is $4.50, and that lets you walk around the part of the 5th floor that is currently closed. As mentioned, Topiary Walk, Petal Gardens and Foggy Bowls are all simply just part of the 5th floor, so walking around Canopy Park means you get to see all of them. Also, Discovery Slides is open to you. Everything else needs extra fees, and you can pay for them individually on top of your Canopy Park admission fee, or as a bundle deal which lets you access a few of the attractions outside the default. Credits: AsiaOne So you can see that $54 is for you to see everything in Canopy Park, and $71 is everything in Canopy Park as well as Changi Experience Studio, which is something like a really technologically rich museum that's all about Changi.
