Sure, even Singaporeans are on OnlyFans. But a K-Pop star? Now that’s unheard of.
Bomi, a member of South Korean girl group Girl Crush, is now the first-ever K-pop idol to join OnlyFans. Here’s why it isn’t surprising at all.
Girl Crush Went Viral Due To Raunchy Performances
Girl Crush isn’t your mainstream K-pop girl group that does cute and innocent concepts. In fact, their concept is the direct opposite of innocent.
The four-member girl group started off as a dance group that often performs at music festivals and events in Korea. They became insanely popular online, thanks to their very raunchy performances and outfits.
They decided to enter the music industry in 2019 with the single “Memories”:
Despite not doing well on music charts, their performances and dance covers still continued to go viral on YouTube.
Their fancams, which are fan-recorded videos of the girls that are usually focused on one member, are especially popular: one fancam of Bomi from 2019 has since racked up over 16.7 million views.
Just watch the video here and you’ll understand why there are so many comments from thirsty men.
Already Sells Adult Pictures on Other Platforms, Simply Expanded to OnlyFans
Given that their whole concept is to appeal to adults, it’s no surprise that Bomi has joined OnlyFans.
For those who don’t know, OnlyFans is a platform where users can buy and sell content, much of which is of a sexual or explicit nature.
In fact, the 25-year-old has apparently been selling her pictures and videos on other platforms popular in Korea. She has simply expanded her distribution of materials to OnlyFans as well.

Yes, pornography is largely illegal in South Korea, and is blocked by the government on nearly all websites and search engines. But loopholes surrounding social media are regularly exploited.
Furthermore, even though the distribution of porn is illegal, there’s no punishment for watching, downloading or storing porn.
It seems like Bomi is capitalising on the large market of OnlyFans, as she announced on Twitter that you can now subscribe to her for USD$15 with the promise of a sexy picture and fancam.
I’ve opened my onlyfans. You can subscribe for $15. A sexy photo and fancam will be uploaded!🔥🔥

Since then, she’s been uploaded more pictures to promote her OnlyFans to Twitter users, with the latest one being this:

There has been a fair number of quote retweets from K-pop fans, poking fun at her decision by saying that she’s “single-handedly funding a comeback” and that she’s changing the site to “OnlyFancams”.
But given the number of heart eyes and fire emojis she’s getting from her tweets, she probably won’t have issues gaining a following on the popular platform.
As one Twitter user said: get that coin queen!
